O yes you can! A Hot Tub is delicious in cold weather. Think of the Scandinavians, they are doing it for years!
But it is cold, isn't it?
No. The water is 38 degrees Celsius / 100 degrees Fahrenheit, body temperature. During the trip your whole body is sitting in warm water. Unless you sit on the edge of the HotTug and take a dive in the surrounding waters of course!
Isn’t it scary a hot stove on a boat?
Believe it or not but you can touch the stove under water while the fire is going. The stainless steel is cooled by the water around it while it heats the water at the same time!!
How many friends can join me?
The HotTug fits about six to eight people. But it is also a very romantic just the two of you.
Can you sail the HotTug yourself?
Yes, you can sail the HotTug yourself, we will explain how to sail the HotTug. Whoever sails (the skipper) should however not drink alcohol. If everybody of your group wants to drink alcohol, it is mandatory to take a skipper on the HotTug.
Do you need a license to sail the HotTug?
Nope. But the skipper needs to be at least 18 years old.
Can you cancel because it’s bad weather?
No. It’s always fun to sail with the HotTug. The colder, the more enjoyable the sail and even with rain it’s nice. Did you ever swim in a lake or in the sea while it was raining?
But with thunder and lightning we cancel the trip.Each rental location has its own cancellation policy.

In Rotterdam:
- If canceled up to 240 hours (10 days) before HotTug trip, deposit refund or the possibility to book another date.
- Cancellation between 240 hours (10 days) to 192 hours (8 days) before HotTug trip, the ability to book another date.
- For cancellation within 192 hours (8 days) before HotTug trip, you lose your deposit.
May you bring your own drinks into the HotTug?
No, this is partly for your own safety and the safety of the HotTug. If you do bring your own drinks, we will charge a fine of € 30,- per person.
Why can't you bring your own drinks in the HotTug?
Some people tend to drink a lot of alcohol, especially when everybody is having fun. However, the combination of sitting in warm water, drinking too much alcohol and sailing can be a dangerous one. We have therefore decided to sell a maximum of alcoholic drinks per person.
1. Drinking too much alcohol makes it unsafe for you as a person, our guest;
2. Drinking too much alcohol makes it unsafe for the HotTug, the boat (damage etc.);
3. Drinking too much alcohol makes people overconfident, noisy, very vocal and a nuisance to our neighbors.
If you still want to drink a lot of alcohol, we recommend that you organize another activity.
Are there specific (sailing) rules for the HotTug in Rotterdam?
Yes, for example, you can not sail on the river the Maas, the skipper can not drink alcohol (designated driver) and we keep the entire deposit of 500 euros if you sail outside the sailing area annd if there is indecent behavior in the HotTug such as loud music, shouting, screaming and sailing without (swimming) clothes. >> see rules of use & conduct and sailing map >> general terms and conditions

I can just go in the HotTug or ...?
In Rotterdam, we want you to be half an hour earlier than the start of your trip. This way you can calmly go through all the papers, sign the papers and change clothes and you can leave in the HotTug on time. If you arrive later and therefore leave with the HotTug later, we are forced to shorten the rental time.
Do I need something else besides a swimsuit?
Just a deposit / guarantee. You can even rent a towel! We ask 500 euro deposit / guarantee. We make a (guarantee) reservation of 500 euros on your credit card (BEWARE: some credit cards require a pin code). We release the guarantee of 500 euros if you bring back the HotTug without any damages on each monday after your sail.
Do you have a changing room?
Of course there is a changing room. It wouldn't be very nice to get dressed on the shore, step out of wet swimwear, while everyone can see you ;-)
Can we rent two boats and depart at the same time?
Yes, that's possible. You must, unfortunately, book each HotTug separately.
By default you depart an hour apart. If you want to leave at the same time, we charge 50 euros extra for extra staff, handling etc. Your departure time lays exactly between the two HotTugs. So half an hour after the first HotTug and half an hour before the second HotTug.
Do you want two HotTugs to depart at the same time? Please state in the comments (in the reservation form), you want this and that you are aware of the extra costs.
Where can we park our car?
In front of Vessel11 are parking spaces. Don't want the hassle? Very close are two ParkBee car parks, ParkBee Wijnstraat 100 is 150 meter and ParkBee Wijnstraat 78 is 190 meter from us. You can even use the discount code hottug10. Rather park at a car park from the council / Gemeente Rotterdam? There is a car park ‘de Boompjes’ (450 meter). If you reserve in advance you will pay less.
